How to use Apple Pay? Step-by-Step guide

Join us for this post as we show you how to use Apple Pay today! We’ll walk you through the process, so that you can make purchases at millions of locations across the globe, including McDonald’s, Walgreens, Nike, and many other places where you already shop every day. Apple Pay is a new way to pay in stores, apps, and on the web with your iPhone or Apple Watch. It’s easy to set up, safer than using credit cards, and more private than sharing your credit card number.

What you'll learn today
How to use Apple Pay with iPhone using Face ID How to use Apple Pay with iPhone using Touch IDHow to use Apple Pay using the Apple WatchHow to use Apple Pay at online or in Safari

Apple Pay is a payment technology specifically for Apple devices. It’s designed to move consumers away from physical wallets as debit and credit cards are on your iPhone or Apple Watch, allowing you to pay using your device. Apple Pay supports nearly all major credit and debit cards providers like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

If you have an iPhone or an Apple watch, you can pay using Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis, and loads of other places.

How to use Apple Pay with iPhone using Face ID

  • To use the default set card, double-tap the side button.
  • Throw A glance at your iPhone to authenticate with Face ID.
  • Hold your iPhone near the reader until you see done and a checkmark.

How to use Apple Pay with iPhone using Touch ID

  • To use the default set card, place your finger on Touch ID.
  • Hold the iPhone near the reader till you see done, and a checkmark is displayed on the display.

How to use Apple Pay using the Apple Watch

  • To use the default set card, double-tap the side button.
  • Hold the display of the watch close to the reader.
  • Wait till you feel a gentle tap.

Based on the store or the transaction amount, you might need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN. Few terminals may request a PIN to complete a debit transaction. If prompted, just enter 0000 or any four-digit code.

How to use Apple Pay at online or in Safari

  • With your iPhone or iPad
  • Tap on the Apple Pay button.
  • Check your billing, shipping, and contact information.
  • If you are prompted to, enter billing, shipping, and contact information. Apple Pay will store that information.
  • When ready, make the purchase and confirm payment.
  • Then Use the above-mentioned payment methods depending on your device
  • When your payment is successful, a done and a checkmark will be seen on the screen.

How to pay with a different card and not your default card?

  • While using Face ID/Touch ID – When your default card appears, tap it, then tap to choose another card.
  • While using Apple Watch – When your default card appears, swipe left or right to choose another card.

You could use Apple Pay to perform all the actions and can also pay for apps or within apps. If you liked this article (or if it helped at all), please leave a comment below or share it with friends, so they can also know how to use Apple Pay.
