How to create Gmail Without a Phone Number?

Gmail is one of the most popular email services. With more than 1 billion active users, Gmail has become an integral part of many people’s lives. But what if you don’t have a phone number? It can be difficult to create Gmail without cell service. Luckily, there are ways around this problem! We’ll explore some options for signing up with or without a phone number in order to get your inbox set up and ready to go!

Google asks you for a phone number verification when you are creating a new account. This verification was optional in the past, however, it has now become mandatory. But if you don’t want Google to have it, there are a few ways to create an account that will keep your phone number off the Google grid.

How to Create Gmail on Your Android/IOS Device?

You have the ability to create a new Gmail account via the ‘Settings app.

For iOS:

  • Visit the Settings app.
  • Locate the Mail section.
  • Click on Accounts.
  • Select Add Account.
  • Click on Google.
  • Click on Create Account.
  • Follow the prompts, then input your information. When it asks for your phone number, scroll down and click on skip.
  • After that, it will ask you to review your info. Check to make sure that everything is how you want it, if it is then click on next.
  • Accept the terms and conditions

For Android:

  • Visit the Settings app.
  • Find the Accounts menu.
  • Select Add account.
  • Click on Google.
  • Put in your information, when the prompt asks for your phone number, scroll down, then click on skip.
  • Then review your info. If everything is as you want it, click on next.
  • Accept the terms and conditions.

You can Set Your Age to 15– it’s a useful trick to bypass phone verification. If you’re 15 years or younger, Google automatically assumes you still don’t have a cell phone.

  • Open your web browser.
  • Open Gmail.
  • Click on the Create Account option.
  • Choose For Myself or Business.
  • Enter your account information, and the new email address, then click Next.
  • Set your birth year such that you are 15.
  • Leave the mobile phone bar blank, then click on Next.
  • Accept the terms and conditions.

Note– sign out of your other g-mail accounts. If you don’t, it won’t ask for your birthday, it will automatically assume your birthday is the same as your other e-mails.

You can Use a Dummy Number– A dummy number is an online service that you can use to verify your accounts via mobile number when the above steps don’t work. You can use any one of the phone numbers from websites instead of your own.

Few of the websites being-

  • Free SMS Verification
  • Sellaite
  • Receive SMS Now
  • On Verify
  • SMS Receive Free

Note– These numbers can only be used once. Thus, don’t set up the phone number to be your only recovery option, you might permanently lose your account.
