The WhatsApp Web is a web application that allows you to use WhatsApp on Windows laptops, iPads, and Macbooks. Let’s look at the steps you need to follow to use WhatsApp on your PC or Mac. The good news is you don’t have to install any WhatsApp messaging software on your personal computer to use the WhatsApp application, and the bad news is you’ll need a smartphone to create a WhatsApp account to use WhatsApp on your Macbook or Windows desktop.  

This web application just imitates WhatsApp on your smartphone onto the desktop screen where you can feel faster and bigger screen.

Let’s go to the steps that are involved in getting WhatsApp on a Windows desktop or MacBook.

  1. Install WhatsApp On Your Phone:

As we discussed before, Firstly, You need to install WhatsApp on your smartphone, then only you can use WhatsApp Web on your personal computer. 

To install WhatsApp on your phone simply open Google Play or App Store and search for WhatsApp and then hit install/ger, then you’ll get WhatsApp on your smartphone

2. Go to WhatsApp Website:

From any browser like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc. that you are using, open the WhatsApp Web official page: WhatsApp Web page.

After the page is loaded, you’ll see a QR code. Now you simply need to scan it.

3. Scan The Code:

Once the QR code is loaded on the webpage do the following

For Android:

  • Open WhatsApp on your phone.
  • Tap on the three vertical dots symbol and select WhatsApp Web.
  • Point your phone to the QR code to scan the code.

For iPhone:

  • Open WhatsApp on your phone.

  • Tap on settings.

  • Tap on the QR code symbol that’s on the right side of your profile picture.

  • Point your phone to the QR code to scan the code.

After the QR code is scanned immediately you’ll see your WhatsApp screen on your display, then you can start using WhatsApp Web the same as you use on your mobile phone with any OS.
