Many people have been wondering if we can survive on Mars. What are the conditions to expect? Let’s take a look at what it would be like and some things you would need to worry about. You will be living in extreme temperatures, pressure, and low oxygen levels. The temperature ranges from -100 °C during winter nights to 20 °C during summer days on average.

There is little humidity or water for you to drink, so your body will adjust, but it may feel uncomfortable at first because your nose is constantly dry and running due to the cold weather outside. The atmospheric pressure is much lower than Earths (0.6% of Earth’s) which makes breathing difficult without using pressurized equipment such as an oxygen mask or helmet with built

Can Humans Survive On Mars:

Mars is the fourth-nearest planet from the sun and the second-smallest planet in the solar system. Nowadays, people are calling as a second home for humans to live on, as there is so much in common to Earth-like 24-hour cycles, mountains, valleys, and also might have some traces of water. Sometimes this might be wrong as Mars is an unfriendly wasteland with nature firmly against you at every turn. We all have a common question if humans could live on Mars?

Mars is always dry even it has solid water ice, and other possible traces of flowing water when compared to earth. It is not as hot as earth but on most of the hot days, it’s absolutely cold and dry in a climate that resembles the global desert. The temperatures vary between Mars and the Earth. On Mars, the temperatures can reach more than 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but the average temperature of this planet is -52 degrees Fahrenheit. In winter the temperatures will be dropping to -225 degrees Fahrenheit.

Humans are surviving in cold temperatures on the Earth for an average of 57 degrees Fahrenheit in Antarctica that means temperatures on the Earth are cooler than on Mars. It is not easy to stay warm on the Martian surface. In the future, it might be possible with certain technologies but still, we will need to plan accordingly for the landing site entering the atmosphere of Mars. In the Martian atmosphere air resistance entering spacecraft has less help slowing down as they descend to the surface.

Conditions On Mars:

We can say that there is not a little oxygen also to breathe as it has 0.14% oxygen compared to Earth as it has 21%. On the surface of Mars, a chemical called perchlorate is found with a lighting effect at the end of the tunnel which is in high concentrations. Perchlorate is a chemical with one chlorine atom and four oxygen atoms. These oxygen atoms can be collected and used for experimenting with the breathable air levels by astronauts.

Perchlorate chemical is very toxic and dangerous to humans, if it is absorbed it interacts with the metabolic functions and leads to sleeping disorders and some blood diseases. It can easily enter the human body and attack the lungs and there is no way to keep this chemical from entering.

Impact of radiation:

The radiation levels on Mars are very high and dangerous because the earth had an active iron core. Due to this radiation magnetic field is generated which shields the planet from radiation from the Sun. In 2004 single ray gamma blast has impacted the Earth by releasing more energy in one-tenth of a second than our Sun released in 100,000 years. Astronauts also observed that Mars has high levels of radiation which can cause humans a high risk of cancer. So first radiation shielding techniques have to be scaled back for only a short span of visits. The hope is in the next 20 to 30 years to help support human life on Mars technologies will be in place.

In conclusion, humans can survive on Mars, but it will be difficult. We need to figure out how we are going to get there and what the conditions would be like. There is no doubt that living in such extreme temperatures, pressure, and low oxygen levels will have an impact on our body’s ability to function properly over a long period of time. We also must find ways for food production, so people don’t starve when they live here year-round, or else this becomes more than just a temporary visit. It seems like human colonization of Mars might be possible someday but before then, much more research needs to go into figuring out all these problems first!
