How to share Google calendar?

Yes, Google Calendar does have an app but, you’ll need to use a computer to share google calendar. Sharing your Google Calendar is a simple solution that helps you find a date and time that works for all parties involved, without having to reschedule your schedule through never-ending email chains. Sharing your calendar can be immensely helpful. For those with Google accounts and their contact’s Gmail address at the ready, it’s a concise process.

Organizing meetings can be a pain; therefore, sharing your Google Calendar may save you time. You may see each other’s schedules directly instead of going through numerous back-and-forth emails.

You may import and export calendars from your Google Calendar using almost any computer or smartphone; nevertheless, you can only share your Google Calendar from a PC.

  • You can’t share calendars from the Google Calendar app. Unfortunately, the Google Calendar app still does not let you share from your phone. But, do not worry, you can still do it using your desktop or laptop.
  • Go to calendar.google.com on your computer if you don’t already have one open there.
  • On the left, find the “My calendars” section. To expand, tap the down arrow.

  • Hover on top of the calendar you want to share, and click More, then Settings, and then sharing.
  • The time zone settings on this page must be verified first. This will ensure that all of your events are visible to the people you send the calendar to at the proper moment.
  • Under “Share with specific people,” click Add people.
  • Once you click on Add people it will open a popup and start suggesting you a few emails from your contacts. Make sure you tap outside the name field to make them disappear and have a clean slate before you enter your emails.

  • Add a person’s or Google group’s email address. Type each email carefully to make sure you don’t accidentally share your important calendar information with someone whom you don’t want to.
  • Use the drop-down menu to change permission settings. Learn more about access permissions.
  • Click Send. And this will share your Google calendar with the emails you entered in the above step.
  • Simply click the button and scroll down to Save.
  • If you’d like to make the calendar available to people who don’t use Google, checkmark Make available for the public. Just remember that this makes the calendar accessible to anyone who has the link, not simply those you share it with. Let us learn more about it in the next few steps.

How to Share Google Calendar with public

  1. Hover on top of the calendar you want to share, and click More, then Settings, and then sharing.
  2. Under “Access permissions,” select make available to the public.
  3. Next to “Make available to the public,” choose the access you want to allow in the drop-down menu. Learn more about access permissions.

What to be taken into consideration before sharing your calendar?

Careful before you share your calendar and choose what others can access. Anyone with total access permissions to the calendar can: respond to invitations, create and edit events, share your calendar with others, receive emails about changes to your calendar, and delete your calendar. So, choose wisely what all access you want to provide.
