Counting calories intake has become necessary these days, relying on certain diets without having an idea of how many calories we are taking can increase the risk of getting obesity, diabetes, heart diseases, etc. If we show some interest in knowing how many calories we should consume, how many we are taking, depending on the age and health habits how many calories we need to burn will help us to lead a healthy lifestyle. The recommended daily calorie intake will vary between individuals. The amount of food required depends on gender and physical exercise. 

How Many Calories Should Women take a day?

Women between the ages of 26 to 50 need to intake 2000 calories per day to maintain their weight, and 1500 calories per day to lose 1pound per week. Women who walk 3miles(4.82KM) per day require 2200 calories per day and to lose 1 pound(0.45 kg) per week they have to burn 1700 calories daily Women, especially after the age of 50 are in a time when weight control is more difficult.

This will require changing some diet habits and making lifestyle changes to maintain their health as they lose muscle mass with aging. It’s recommended that women be on track for about 1800 calories per day which should keep them at or near maintaining body weight while also burning 1300-1500 calories each week, so it doesn’t take too long before there are any noticeable results.

How Many Calories Should Men take a day?

Men between the age of 26 to 45 need to take at least 2600 calories per day to maintain their weight and 2100 calories per day to lose 1pound(0.45 kg) weight per week. Men who walk 3miles(4.82KM) per day require 2800-3000 calories per day and to lose 1 pound(0.45 kg) per week they have to burn 2300-2500 calories daily Men from age 45 and above require 2400 calories per day to maintain their weight and burn 1800 calories per day to lose 1 pound(0.45 kg) per week 

How Many Calories Should Children take a day?

Children have different calorie intakes based on their body age and size. Average children from 2-6 require 1200-1400 calories per day, Whereas children from 12-16 require 2000-2800 calories per day. Calorie intake varies based on the growth and development of the child. Children will be always having physical activity as they will be playing daily, so there is no need to count on burning the calories. Children naturally eat the amount of food their body requires.

On the Internet there are many sites that will help you to calculate calorie intake, for some people who are more concerned about their health and to maintain strict diet depending on their weight and fat content in their body, it is recommended to talk with their doctors or any health professionals to calculate the exact quantity of calorie intake for more effective.
