The company is reportedly gearing up to launch Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite at its galaxy Unpacked event on 11 August. The South Korean tech giant has been rumored to have both the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 ready for release this summer, with detailed renders, specs, and price information all emerging in recent weeks. And now, speculation suggests a more affordable foldable could be part of next month’s announcement.

This event is expected to happen on August 11 and will see the launch of other devices such as the Galaxy fold 3. It is rumored that Samsung may also launch Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3 during the event. Tipster Frontron tweeted on July 4 that Samsung Galaxy Z flip 3 may be priced at 1,249 dollars for the 8GB+256GB storage model. If this tip is indeed true, the phone will be 200 dollars less than its predecessor.
This information comes from the Korean Herald, which reports that the launch of Galaxy Z Flip. The Galaxy Z Flip will be a budget-friendly model which could be released in order to compete with other foldable phones such as Huawei’s Mate X and Lenovo’s S5000 Fold.

This could be for lower RAM+storage configurations, and the top-end 8 GB+256 GB model may cost a bit more. Korea Herald reports that Samsung may introduce two Galaxy Z Flip 3 models around Galaxy Z Flip 3. It’s likely to be a mass-market model with a more affordable price tag. The report also says that the secondary display will be 1.9 inches, slightly larger than the 0.98-inch cover display on the predecessor.
